BISSELL DigiPro Canister Vacuum, 6900

5 Star Performer
I am a big fan of canister vacuums, and when my old one recently broke I turned to Amazon to research all the latest models. I decided to buy the DigiPro because of the many features it offered for a great price. I am pleased to report that it performs better than I expected, and I was happy with my old one so I expected quite a bit. I like how it allows me to control the amount of suction power, the adjustments for various carpet heights/hard floors, and the ability to turn on/off the brushes. It has washable HEPA filters so there are no expensive filters to replace and it even has a light that comes on when it is time to change the bag. The cord has a push button retractor so the cord rewinds itself and stores out of the way.

I have 3 kids, 1 dog, and 1 cat, so needless to say I have plenty to clean up. It's nice knowing that tucked away in the closet is a great vacuum that can help me tackle any mess. This vacuum is definitely worthy of a 5 star review.

Don't be fooled you will not get true HEPA output!!
Yes this vacuum is lite, it's small, it has very good suction and reasonable (a bit small) tools. Though one of the biggest reasons many people buy it is for is it's proclaimed HEPA filtration. This seems like false advertising and I shall explain why. The unit is advertised to provide HEPA filtration but most of the exaust is not expelled through the filter!! Rather it is expelled through the rear of the vacuum where the cord is attached. This is likely because the unit is not sealed. A HEPA filter is attached on the exaust port at the top of the unit but exaust is routed out of cracks do to back-pressure from the HEPA filter. HEPA filters can catch particles as small as 3 microns and this makes them very resistant to air flow. Back pressure is built up due to this resistance and the resulting pressure forces the air to escape through paths of lesser resistance. Unfortunately this releases most all the molds, dust mites, and other allergins into the air. As matter of fact it...

Reviewer has a good point, HEPA of very poor design
The Reviewer makes an excellent point! This unit will not provide HEPA filtration of exaust air. So if you are buying this unit due to allergies or based on the procaimed HEPA filtration you would do best to pass this unit up. However as a normal vacuum, the unit is very good. Due to its small size it is very easy to manuver through tight spots. Suction is very good as well as the power head. The hose is of poor quality and tends to kink, but all in all a good vacuum. They just shouldn't claim HEPA filtration as the previous reviewer (mictrik) has pointed out so well. These days it isn't hard to find vacuums with HEPA filtration so passing this unit up wont be to big of a loss. Fix this issue and Bissell would have a true star.

BISSELL Rewind SmartClean Bagless Upright Vacuum, 58F8

If you are looking for a replacement for your Bissell Cleanview Deluxe, this is it.
As I stated above this model is an updated version of the Bissell Cleanview Deluxe. I had that vacuum and was sad to give it up in an out of state move. Since my move (I couldn't find another Cleanview to purchase at that time) I bought a cheap Dirt Devil Extreme Quick vac to get by (with a HEPA filter) and it served me well but would fill up too quickly and lose suction with cat fur and a lot of long human hair. I had been looking to find an updated version of the Cleanview and *poof* recently the SmartClean appeared on amazon before I found it anywhere else. I purchased it without hesitation.

I couldn't wait to get this out of the box and try it out. So far I like it a lot. Felt a bit more bulky than the Cleanview I had, but has the familiar handling. This Bissell added a few features, the retractable cord winder is nice, but I find that it retracts slightly while I vacuum which is a pretty minor annoyance. Suction is great and the included attachments are nice--same...

Could my carpets really have been that dirty?
OK, so I read the reviews and thought I need to give this a try. We've been experiencing a lot of dust in the house (we live on a farm) and our carpets were not looking good so we scheduled the carpet cleaner man to come out.
I ordered this vacuum anyways, thinking just maybe it might be the vacuum. But really, in my mind, I was thinking it was the kids just bringing in dirt from all over the farm and no, it didn't matter that we take our shoes off at the door. Who was I kidding.
The cleaner came and went and my carpets looked clean again. Gosh, did we really live with them that dirty? Guess so.
Same day the vacuum arrives we had the carpets cleaned. It's one of those truck mounted cleaners and the man has been doing our carpets for over 10 years now. He's good! The Bissell is better though...
We decided to put the vacuum together and give it a test drive. Can you say instant gratification? Well, I'm not sure that is the word that came to mind as I see the little...

Great Vacuum
This vacuum is Great! We were looking to find a vacuum to replace our old vacuum by bissell that had the cleanview sensor.

The cleanview sensor is a very nice feature of this vacuum cleaner. It is amazing how much this will pick up in just a days time (granted we have 4 kids and a dog, we usually take our shoes off) The light on the vacuum stays red until the area comes clean, then it will turn green.

The kids & I like the wind up cord. The kids love to vacuum, but before they would leave the vacuum left out until I would put it away. That is not the case anymore, a push of the button and the cord will wind up on its own.

We also like the bagless feature, just empty the canister in the trash when full.

If you are looking for a good, inexpensive and reliable vacuum cleaner, this would be the one.
